Day 3 for MASC at the Vauxhall Fashion Scout showcase and we have been inundated with visitors, this morning was the ‘International Buyer’s Breakfast’ so we were receiving guests from all around the World, all coming to London to find fresh homegrown talent.
Chinese Harper’s Bazaar took their time looking through the collection and took notes on our brand profile whilst enjoying fresh croissants, hot drinks and frozen yoghurt. Duncan was joined by Yvonne Chan, who mingled, conversed and acted as a model to show off select pieces from the range. The day’s highlight was when BEAMS, a large Japanese retail group paid an interest in our range.
After seeing a number of pieces on body we are pleased to announce we received our first order there an then at the show. The day continued with further interest and we had the pleasure of meeting more press and buyers, at close-down we celebrated the day with a topical shot of warmed sake.

The first day of the MASC SS12 show at Vauxhall fashion Scout has been a great success.
After 12 months research, development and brand building we were really excited to reveal the collection at London Fashion Week. The reaction has been very positive, with press, stylists and buyers browsing the collection and taking away lookbooks.
With crowds outside, the venue swayed between bustling with busy crowds to calmer times with smaller pockets of people taking more time to explore each designer’s work. Thoroughly pleased with our start to the show we are looking forward to the next four days of exposure.
Billy did an admirable job promoting the collection and wearing one of our moss crepe dresses. Onwards and upwards!

Today the MASC team decamped to The Freemason’s Hall to set up the SS12 exhibition space as part of the Vauxhall Fashion Scout Showcase.
Arriving with our debut collections of women’s ready-to-wear and accessories we went about making the space work for us. Hung on arced rubber coated hangers the dresses and separates were spaced across chrome two chrome rails. Situated in the grand Prince Regent’s Hall, the collection looked like it has always belonged in the grand surroundings of the building. Set against the extravagantly sized windows, the silk, moss crepe and luxurious jersey looked as tantalising as we had hoped.
We will be exhibiting from between the 16th and 20th of September, we invite you to come visit us and browse the collection.

For our debut Spring / Summer Twelve show we have developed a bespoke invite that matches our house stationary. Inspired by the geometric lines in the collection, our folded invites feature the same wing-shape pleat and converging lines.
Printed on both sides, the dense 160gsm card with matt finish is embossed with the MASC logo and can be unfolded to reveal our showpiece dress for this season. Enclosed in a black envelope alongside our fold-out A2 lookbook, each piece is individually signed by the designers Duncan Shaw and Billy Yick.
Recipients are asked to be “READY AND PRESENT” at our exhibition at London Fashion Week. Exclusively showing at the Vauxhall Fashion Scout Showcase in the Freemasons’ Hall near Covent Garden. We are taking appointments and will be ready to accept you between the 16th and 20th of September, please contact us for access.
