MASC is proud to announce its unprecedented selection as one of Selfridges’s Bright Young Things
The Bright Young Things concept supports the best emerging talents in a showcase of creativity through window display design. Described by Dazed & Confused Magazine as an opportunity for “the hottest new talents in menswear, women’s wear and accessories to create their own displays and showcase their work to millions”
Situated on Duke Street, the installations were revealed on January 6th 2012 and will remain until mid March. Designers, Duncan Shaw and Billy Yick were given full creative control over the concept for the window and they have delivered an inspiring spectacle of movement and design; taking full advantage of the unprecedented exposure.
Selfridges were so impressed with MASC’S debut collection they invested in key pieces from the range, available exclusively on the 3rd floor of the Oxford Street store and online at www.selfridges.co.uk
The SS12 ‘Carry My B-52′ debut collection was inspired by the elegance and geometry of aircraft wings, the designers translated this into a signature wing-shape pleat that features across the range, incorporating expressive drape and structured angles into their dresses. Luxurious moss crepe, silk and soft-touch jersey fabrics feature panels of supple lamb nappa across the highly finished collection.
